Collaborations
Patricia Jara Joyas
Photographer: Vincent Petroni
“Would you believe that almost a decade ago I was working in an office practicing my career as a lawyer? I never thought that life would lead me to the art of jewelry. What madness,” said Jewelry Maker Patricia Jara.
Patricia Jara is a lawyer, turned jewelry maker from Peru. Her pieces focus on bringing the freedom and beauty of the mountainous terrain from her childhood pueblo in Huancavelica. Nature inspires her art and brings her closer to her hometown. She creates pieces that showcase the textures that resemble the different altitudes of the mountains. Patricia values helping those in need through her jewelry and has made efforts to aid whenever possible. Now, her jewelry has been worn throughout South America, the United States, Switzerland, and many other countries. Find out more on her Novica page.
This international passion project sprung up as a dream to help other Hispanic artists share their art. The photographer, Vincent Petroni, and I both Argentine-born, and Patricia currently living in Lima, Peru, it became inspiring to elevate each other. Helping others is a value that I stand behind indefinitely and to showcase elegant pieces for a good cause is what modeling should be all about.
“What you do with love will always be transformed into love in some way and will be expressed as such. My jewelry is an expression of love embodied in art, influences of nature that interact in the same piece,” said Patricia.
Mature Project
Photographer: Kearsten Photography
MatureProject: Embracing Ageless Beauty and New Beginnings
The Mature Project is a groundbreaking initiative, launched by an Artistic Director, that celebrates the elegance and strength of women aged 40 and beyond. Established in 2020, this unique platform showcases models across a diverse range of experience, from emerging talent to established names, embodying the vision of aging gracefully. MatureProject organizes its own productions both nationally and internationally, promoting age-positive modeling defying industry norms and celebrating the timeless appeal of its participants. The project focuses on the evolution of beauty over time with an emphasis on authenticity. Through key milestones including sourcing models through summer 2024, initial photoshoots beginning in 2024, a global exhibition planned for 2026, and a ten-year follow-up exhibition in 2033—the Mature Project illustrates that beauty flourishes at every stage of life. Rooted in values of professionalism and reliability, the project has become an esteemed name for models over 40, connecting them with opportunities worldwide. MatureProject redefines age as simply a number, creating a vibrant platform where success has no deadline. Big thanks to Kearsten Leader for capturing this shot!. “This image being handpicked to be a part of the Mature Project is an honor and one of the high-lights of my modeling career”
